Hi, I'm Blossom
Empowering individuals, couples, and families to break through life's obstacles and fully blossom. As a kind, relatable professional, I offer the support and guidance needed to remove barriers and cultivate lasting growth.
Hi, and welcome to Time To Blossom Counseling!
I'm so glad you're taking this step to explore your needs and reach out for support.
A little about my experience: I bring over 15 years of experience working with individuals in various settings, including private practice, community mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, expressive arts therapy, group homes, pre- and post-adoption support, and addiction services.
I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and am an associate licensed counselor in the state of Washington.
My areas of focus include: Adult ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, and life coaching. Within life coaching, I support individuals in navigating relationships, developing parenting techniques, and managing life transitions, among other areas.
I believe the therapeutic journey begins with building a strong rapport and collaboratively exploring your individual needs and goals. This partnership allows us to identify the most effective treatment orientation(s) together. My approach is flexible, ensuring the therapeutic process is tailored to your specific requirements, rather than being dictated by a predetermined modality.
My aim is to cultivate a safe and supportive environment where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and personal choices. I am dedicated to ensuring you feel encouraged and empowered as you navigate life's transitions and challenges.
My hope is that, together, we can work towards you living your life in full bloom.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
First things first, let's connect through a brief phone consultation for up to 15 minutes. That time can serve as an introduction. It will allow me to grasp an idea on what you need and want to get out of therapy.
If we seem to hit it off then we will schedule an intake appointment. We'll figure out the best way to work together – different approaches can help, and remember, it's all about finding what works for you. My plan is to keep things flexible so our therapy fits your goals.

An intake appointment is our first official session. Scheduling is fairly easy, for the intake appointment you will need to reach out to Mindful Therapy Group also referenced as MTG (they manage scheduling and billing) and let them know that you are interested in getting on my schedule.

On average an intake appointment will last approximately one hour. During this time it is important that I gather background information, understand your needs and expectations as well as give you the space to ask any questions you may have.
-
Follow up therapy appointments last anywhere from 53-60 minutes. Consistency is key with therapy. Depending on individual needs, it may be suggested to participate in weekly sessions while working towards your goals. There is no set length to attend therapy though I will often schedule clients for up to 25 sessions to ensure consistent availability and as therapy progresses we can reassess the need to increase or decrease the length of sessions or duration of treatment.

No.

It is ok to try to work towards your goals with or without medication. Together, we can explore your individual wants and needs.
It can be helpful if you are on the fence or unsure for us to take a few sessions after establishing rapport to discuss potential benefits and risks associated with beginning medication.
Therapy sessions tend to be scheduled more frequently, therefore allowing a trusting relationship to form. As a result of the trust developed, clients are typically more comfortable seeking guidance related to medicine and their particular needs prior to taking action steps for a med/psych evaluation.
*Ultimately, I do not prescribe medication, but can point you in the direction if we decide it may assist in your journey.

Absolutely!
While you may feel hesitant because services are conducted via telehealth, key aspects to creating a safe environment rely heavily on psychological safety.
That looks like an atmosphere that provides attentive listening, and a focus on your concerns.
It is a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself without the fear of judgment or discomfort of rejection.
It will become a place where you can explore difficult emotions, situations and experiences because you feel safe and secure enough to be vulnerable.
Key features of a safe space include:
Judgment free
Support
Confidentiality
Boundaries
Acceptance
Empathy
Trust
Trusting the process is important. Rapport building is essential for all of these aspects to exist. We will work as a team, moving at a comfortable pace to build a relationship that encourages continual growth.
